Inventory and quick-slot rebinding: October 8 check

An October 6 Steam post reports that remapping inventory to numpad 4 opens it, while Escape is still needed to close it, and numpad 4 still assigns an inventory item to quick slot 4 even after that slot is remapped to Page Up. The player asks for consistent quick-slot bindings, an option to disable inventory quick-binding keys, and same-key inventory closing. This is a single community report; its installed build and reproduction have not been independently verified.

To check your own setup, record the installed version and current bindings, then test opening and closing inventory separately from assigning and selecting quick slots. Note whether the conflict occurs only while inventory is open, and include the Windows keyboard layout and exact keys in a bug report. Restore the original bindings if your test causes unintended assignments. No configuration-file workaround or official fix for this specific report has been verified.

Keyboard and display checks

The Early Access launch announcement acknowledged problems with AZERTY keyboard layouts. Because input fixes can change between hotfixes, verify binding behaviour in the current version before copying an older workaround.

Hotfix 0.8.8 states that Alt + Enter once again toggles fullscreen. If the shortcut does not work, confirm the installed version before changing configuration files.

Suit English voiceover (official 0.8.9)

Official: Hotfix 0.8.9 fully re-recorded the Suit’s English voiceover and replaced it with the actor who voiced the Suit in Breathedge 1. Steam’s language table still lists full audio for English and Russian, and 13 interface and subtitle languages. The re-record is an English Suit audio change. It is not proof that every subtitle language received new voice work.

Whether the new delivery is funnier is opinion. Older English VO reviews describe the recording from before 0.8.9.

Community: players still ask for less Suit chatter. This guide does not invent a mute slider or a configuration-file edit. Check the master, voice, effects, and subtitle options that are actually present in the current menu.

Report a missing control clearly

Include the game version, keyboard layout, operating system, exact menu path, expected behaviour, and what happened instead. A clear input report is more actionable than describing all control problems as lag.
